Intern/Junior Associate
Malinda Brunk is a rising senior at the University of Michigan, where she studies public policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Originally from Oakland County, Michigan, she began her college journey at Michigan State University before transferring to U-M to pursue her passion for public service and policy change.
This past semester, Malinda spent the semester working and studying in Washington, D.C. Working in the U.S. House of Representatives deepened her understanding of the legislative process and fueled her commitment to uplifting underrepresented voices in government. She is excited to return to Michigan for the summer, reconnect with her friends and family, and apply her experience in federal policymaking to her work with BlueWave Campaigns.
In her free time, Malinda sings in Heartbeat Philanthropic A Cappella-- a student group that raises money for various charities-- and the University's Women's Glee Club. She also enjoys spending time with her parents and two cats back in Oakland County.
